中國大陸四川省九寨溝昨（8）日晚間 9 時 19 分發生規模 7.0 強震，造成多人傷亡、建築倒塌。而針對九寨溝強震，中央氣象局長辛在勤今（9）日指出是因歐亞地震帶內板塊相互擠壓造成，對台灣並無直接影響。
據《中央社》報導，辛在勤在今日受訪時，表示 2008 年發生的汶川大地震與此次九寨溝強震，其原因都是受到歐亞地震帶內板塊互相擠壓，因板塊幅員大、應力累積時間長，就會出現規模相當大的地震，且又因這些板塊多位在人口密集地，一旦發生地震就會有慘重傷亡狀況。
辛在勤也將九寨溝強震與台灣、日本比較分析，說明台、日同屬環太平洋地震帶，通常地震發生較為密集、應力較常被釋放，因此地震規模相較位處歐亞地震帶的九寨溝來說，沒有那麼劇烈，但須留意地震引發海嘯所帶來的災害。此外，因此次強震發生在九寨溝風景區，死傷者多為觀光客，辛在勤也提醒旅遊者應注意自身安全。
炎炎夏日當中，不少民眾喜歡到溪邊或海邊戲水，消消暑氣。不過卻有戲水民眾直擊，南投中寮龍鳳瀑布竟有2名「洗頭姐」，大肆在瀑布一旁洗頭。
一名網友在臉書社團「爆怨公社」中上傳了一段影片，並且說道：「太離譜了，拜託一下公德心吧！」，影片中可見，瀑布一旁除了戲水的男子，竟還有2名「洗頭姐」直接利用瀑布的水洗頭，甚至還自備了洗髮精，泡沫全被瀑布沖走。
文章一推出，立刻掀起一陣熱議，不少網友認為此舉相當不妥，且有害大自然，並且紛紛留言表示，「太誇張了吧」、「怎不替生態環境想想」、「這兩位大媽家裡沒有水，一定要跑到瀑布底下洗頭嗎？」、「可能這樣的水量才洗得乾淨吧」、「超扯的」。
